Well summer has official started in the swealtering former swamp that is Washington D.C. because it is hotter than a mofo out in this piece! LOL

Seriously going from 60-70 degree weather to 90 is not fun...especially for my hair that curls very tightly to the slightest hint of humidity.

Well I thought I'd post since I have the time and wish all the vets out there a belated but very meaningful Happy Memorial Day.

Its easy to forget the true meaning of the holiday but I make sure I take the time to honor both my late-grandfathers (vets of WWII and Korea) and Demon (Bosnia, Somilia and current Iraqi War) for they did.

Yesterday we BBQ and I saw my cute 2y.o nephew who I seriously think is a genius. I've never heard a 2yr talk so well. Course he was yelling "NIKI!" every 5 seconds and he is in the "WHY?" stage. After a few "But Why Niki" the answer becomes "I don't know" or "Because" real quick.

He's such a little imp and is hilarous! anything we says he mimics like a little bird. When he was leaving he kept asking "Are you coming too?" and when he was strapped in he said "Please don't leave me again"

I almost shed a tear when he said that...but hopefully I will see him soon again.

I did seize the day and do alot of revisions on EoM. Ch4 and 5 I had to go over again b/c of date inconsitances...Im a stickler for that in other fanfics so Im anal retentive when it comes to mind. Ch6 is half way done and whats funny is chap 7 and 8 have been done for months....way before I was done with ch3 those two were done.

I have a tendency to not write linear and just scenes so putting this story together is like a puzzle, then I have to go through and make sure no pieces or missing or cracks. But the goal is to have up to ch8 out August. I know thats a long time but those chapters are 14pages at a minimum.

And I admit ch4 and 5 are a bit boring b/c Im building up the story...Those two are not my favorite chapters and I have one upcoming cliff hanger and several surprises coming up...especially since I decided to take out a huge hint when I got the feedback of... "Man you should really remove that scene, it gives too much away and takes some of the excitement out of the later chapters."

So that scene is out but EoM will be updated on SU this week and ch4 and 5 will be out in the upcoming months.

Now I really should be in the car driving to get my PPD shot but this a/c is too nice...(NO A/C in my class this morning=HOT BOX!)
